Beyond the Dungeon: Building a Believable & Consistent Game World
There is more to a good game setting that just monsters to kill and puzzles to solve. Maps, towns, character, economy, technology, ecology, everything from the price of an apple to the motives of kings is a piece of the world. If the pieces fit together, the game world feels real, coming to life around the players as they move through it. If the pieces don't fit, the inconsistencies can leave players anywhere from confused to annoyed. This panel will discuss tools and tips for building and maintaining consistency keeping a setting alive and interesting.

Your First Time as GameMaster
There is a huge difference, in a Role-Playing Game, between being seated around the table and seated at its head, behind the screen that hides their books and notes and dice from other players. The Game Master's role is the hardest, because they are responsible, not just for one character, but for every character, and every part of the world, that other players encounter. For a first-time Game Master, this difference can be daunting at best, and calamitous at worst. This panel will discuss the experience, and offer advice on how to handle the change in responsibility.
