John Grant is author of some eighty books, of which about twenty-five are fiction. His "book-length fiction" Dragonhenge, illustrated by Bob Eggleton, was shortlisted for a Hugo Award in 2003; its successor was The Stardragons. His most recent story collection is Tell No Lies (2014). In nonfiction, he has coedited (with John Clute) The Encyclopedia of Fantasy and written The Encyclopedia of Walt Disney's Animated Characters (three editions) and A Comprehensive Encyclopedia of Film Noir, the largest encyclopedia of the subject published to date. His loose-knit series begun with Discarded Science and continued with Corrupted Science, Bogus Science and Denying Science has earned much acclaim; an expanded edition of Corrupted Science appeared in spring 2018. Two recent YA nonfiction books are Debunk It! and Eureka!: 50 Scientists who Shaped Human History. As John Grant he has received two Hugo Awards, the World Fantasy Award, the Locus Award, and various others. Under his real name, Paul Barnett, he has written a few books and for a number of years ran the world-famous fantasy-artbook imprint Paper Tiger, for this work earning a Chesley Award and a World Fantasy Award nomination.
